Lunch or dinner can be enjoyed at many places with only a short drive from Pure Guest House.
La Colombe which is currently ranked the 3rd best restaurant in South Africa, and one can definitely expect food of the highest standard. Unfortunately, due to high popularity, a booking is required a few weeks before and in peak season a reservation will most likely have to be done a few months prior to visit.
Hout Bay is also home to Cheyne's, an Asian Tapas restaurant, the restaurant at Chapmans Peak Hotel with seafood specialities and Massimo's, an italian restaurant with the best pizza around.
En route from the city centre to Hout Bay there is the Camps Bay. Known for the white, sandy beaches and strip of restaurants located alongside. Here you are able to enjoy sundowners, followed by gourmet food at one of the many restaurants. Pure would recommend sundowners at La Belle or Chinchilla followed by a dinner at South Africa's most renowned steak house Hussar Grill. Camps Bay also boasts one of the best seafood restaurants in Cape Town: Codfather.
A short drive from Pure is a little valley called Constantia. There are numerous wine farms in this area, two in particular, Beau Constantia, that has another branch of Chef's Warehouse (currently ranked 10th in South Africa) opening on their premises and the Greenhouse (number 6 in South Africa) at Cellars Hohenort.
Neighbouring Beau Constantia is the historical “Constantia Nek” which has recently been revamped and now has a La Parada Tapas bar, which is also situated in the Cape Town CBD. Kalk Bay has the exquisite seafood restaurant Harbour House which is also located in the V&A Waterfront.
Foxcroft, family of La Colombe has recently opened in Constantia Village. Expect a vibrant atmosphere, paired with a celebration of flavours present within each dish of food.
Bistro Sixteen82 is set within the Steenberg Vineyards. Excellent bistro fare is served, paired with the farms wines. This relaxed dining setting is ideal for lunch or dinner.

With a limited number of items on their menus, quality is definitely emphasized. The party atmosphere of Cape Town is depicted in this establishment and sets the tone for the rest of evening. The team constists of two former creative head chefs of the Greenhouse Restaurant and the former front-of-house manager of La Colombe. Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Winelands District
About a 60km drive from cape town is the beautiful mountainous winelands district. Lunch or dinner can be enjoyed amongst the vineyards at several impressive locations.
Delaire Graff Estate – the jewel of the cape winelands. This wine farm, situated on the Helshoogte Pass, is really something to see. From its impressive architecture to its perfectly manicured gardens.
Babylonstoren – an 8 acre sanctuary of fruit, berries and indigenous plants. Situated within the botanical diversity is a greenhouse, where you can make your own tea from the fresh herbs to be enjoyed with a slice of cake.
The The Restaurant at Waterkloof, ranked number 1 in 2018, ist an architectional masterpiece nestled on a hill with stunning vistas of the mountain range and the sea. The Waterkloof degustation menu is one of a few tasting menus that is capable of melting your heart and bringing a warm smile to your face dish after dish.
The successor at the former The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Francais, La Petite Colombe, the little sister of Constantia's famous La Colombe, ranked 5th place in 2018, opened its doors for the first guests in August 2017.
Camphors at Vergelegen, ranked 8th place in 2018, is suited alongside the historic camphor trees. The ever-changing menu is especially suited for food and wine connoisseurs.
The wine farm Quoin Rock is home to the extraordinary restaurant Gåte. Head Chef Rikku Ò’Donnchü created a 16 course fine dining menu that can be best described as: theatrical – in flavour, presentation and experience.
Equus at Cavalli is a modern wine farm which also has very impressive horse stables on the premises. The food at “Equus” has an inventive spin on classic dishes and boasts has a 4-star green rating.
Terroir restaurant, situated on Kleine Zalze wine farm, is set under ancient oaks with a serene atmosphere. Emphasis is placed on pairing the right food with the right wine. Thus, bringing out both the flavours in the award-winning food and wine.
Jordan Restaurant has a more cool and contemporary setting with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Each dish is packed full of flavour, leaving each taste bud tantalized.
